These Terms of Use govern your use of SceneFolio, a movie discovery and taste-archiving product for recording movie activity, assigning Tier ratings, discovering taste patterns, completing quests, and building a cinema profile.
Using SceneFolio
You may use SceneFolio only in compliance with these terms and applicable law. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Acceptable use
- Do not use SceneFolio for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to another account or SceneFolio systems.
- Do not interfere with, overload, probe, or circumvent security controls.
- Do not use automated means to scrape or extract the service except where expressly permitted.
- Do not submit content that infringes another person's rights or violates applicable law.
Third-party movie information
Movie metadata and images may be supplied by third parties such as TMDB. SceneFolio does not own third-party movie metadata, artwork, trademarks, or provider content. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Service availability and changes
SceneFolio may add, change, suspend, or remove features as the service develops. Availability may be interrupted for maintenance, technical issues, provider outages, or other operational reasons.
Account termination and deletion
You may permanently delete your account through Profile > Delete Account or the public deletion page. SceneFolio may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, investigate abuse, or enforce these terms.
Disclaimers
SceneFolio is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Recommendations, taste summaries, Quests, and third-party movie information are for general entertainment and informational purposes.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SceneFolio and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as SceneFolio changes. The published version will show its current effective date.
